Greetings from the Executive Chairman
moso sonoTaking on the role as Executive Chairman of the IFCC is a great honour for me. With the unfailing help of the Lord, we will achieve the vision that is set out for us in the future.  The vision is secure, what we have been called to do we will fulfill.

I met with Pastor Ray McCauley to discuss my intention to visit each Group Leader to hear what is on their hearts and received his full support.  My recent visit’s with the Group Leaders was most inspiring; I thank God for the strong leaders that are called to run alongside me in fulfilling this great vision and calling. As I met with each Leader, it became evident to me that we all have the same heart and vision for the future! This confirmed that we are moving together as one as the IFCC moves into this new dispensation.

I’d like to share the main points that arose out of our meetings – there is a great desire to develop healthy relationships among the Group Leaders, to develop Church Planting strategies, to focus on poverty alleviation throughout the country, and all have a strong desire to reach the Youth of our nation, particularly to raise and develop the next generation of Leaders. We would like to see the church utilise Youth Day, 16 June 2012, effectively by hosting a combined event for the church in Soweto on that day. We also strongly believe the IFCC must get its prophetic voice back to address National issues as well as to re-evaluate our value system in line with the structural changes.

Although there is much to be achieved in ensuring the completion of the restructuring, we are excited to see that a large number of IFCC Members have already made the decision regarding which flow they want to relate to and this process is running smoothly. I am of the firm belief that by the end of 2012 the IFCC will be at its strongest yet.
Having said all of the above, I appeal to all our members to please increase your giving to meet the budget for this year and also continue to pray for the process.

Gege and I want to take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful festive season, take time to rest, refresh and prepare for 2012! Thank you for the support and love we have received throughout 2011.  May the Lord richly bless you, your families and loved ones, your churches and ministries.

Yours in Christ
Pastor Mosa Sono

Overview 2011  The Year at a glance…….
A very successful and well attended INDABA was held on 23 Feb 2011 at Grace Bible Church Soweto. The groundwork done with all present at the Indaba formed the catalyst for the implementation of the structural changes of the IFCC.

On 05 May 2011 the IFCC National Leadership held an Executive Meeting to chart the way forward based on the reports from the Indaba, which culminated in the National Executive officially implementing the restructure of the IFCC, which was then communicated to all IFCC Members.

Over the months of June to August 2011, Special Regional Meetings were conducted. All IFCC Members were invited to the meetings and Pastor Chris Venter travelled to each Region to meet with the members. Nomination of Groups and Group Leaders was explained and discussed and approximately 50% of all IFCC Members nominated which Group they would now relate to at these meetings.
On 08 Sep 2011 another IFCC Executive Meeting was held at which Pastor Chris gave feedback on the Special Regional Meetings he had conducted.

This year, for the first time, the IFCC National Conference was incorporated with “Dreamweek” at CRC Bloemfontein from 04 – 07 October. An IFCC Members Meeting was held during the Conference wherein Pastor Mosa Sono was announced as the new Executive Chairperson which was received very positively by all present. The meeting also addressed certain questions regarding the restructure that had arisen in the Special Regional Meetings.

As we look forward to 2012 – there are several key areas’ that need to be focused on in terms of the IFCC Restructure. In the first quarter of 2012 each Group Leader will arrange an “Open Day” Meeting for all those members that have already nominated which Group and Group Leader they will relate to.  At this meeting the Group Leaders will personally meet and communicate with the Pastors. Members that have not as yet nominated have until July 2012 to finalise their nominations.

Updating the Core Values of the IFCC in terms of the restructure is in progress, we are aiming to complete this in the early part of 2012 and distribute to all Members.  Also arising out of the restructure of the IFCC is the continuous implementation of changes in terms of the processes and procedures of the IFCC Office, but rest assured that any such changes will be clearly communicated to all our members in due time.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our members for your active and positive participation in the restructure, which has not gone without some challenges, however the character and maturity displayed and the wonderful support from all as we move into this new dispensation has been most encouraging, both to me personally and to the National Leadership at large.

Praying for the Lords richest blessings for a wonderful festive season.

Pastor Chris Venter
National and International Overseer
